The best part about failure
The best part about failure is that it throws you into extremes - very positive or extremely negative. And the best thing about operating in extremes is pleasure. There are only two places to be - extreme happiness or extreme sadness, I do not believe in the middle path as I believe it is niether here nor there.
Embracing failure, I've noticed, is something thats never been part of the Indian psyche. Living on a healthy diet of 'extreme' optimism has killed the realist in many of us. Plan B doesnt mean pessimism, it is facing reality, it is understanding that nothing and absolutely nothing ever really goes as per plan.
Having said that, now that I find myself in a convenient position where I can now decide which extreme I want to operate in, it gives me great pleasure to finally admit that more good than bad has come out in the last month as I have prepared myself for the great B-school race.
